The hospital's RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses.
- The Hospital Security Lead provides front-lineleadership and operational oversight for daily security functions to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment for patients, visitors, staff, and property.
- This position supports regulatory compliance with Joint Commission standards and NFPA 99 requirements related to security management, life safety, and incident reporting.
- The Security Lead serves as the shift lead, primary point of contact during assigned shifts, and assists with training, performance monitoring, and incident management.
Job Requirements:
- HighSchoolDiploma or equivalent.
- ValidCLEET Armed SecurityOfficer certification.
- ValidDriver's License.
- IAHSS Basic level (within 6 months of hire).
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- CPI (within 90 days of hire).
- Maintain annual firearm and handcuffing certification.
- OC gel spray certification.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1 year of security experience.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients,visitors, staff, contractors, governmental agencies,and vendors.
- Ability to confront adverse and potentially hostile situations and resolve tactfully and safely.
- Skill and ability to make quick decisions and apply safetyandsecurity knowledge in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
