- Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety.
- Perform a variety of tasks involving operation of radiographic equipment and other devices as necessary.
- Obtain complete history and position patients using immobilization when necessary and explain procedure to patients.
- Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
- Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners with invasive procedures.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during exam.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient/employee safety
- Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Currently attending an Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program at a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- High School diploma or GED
