Learn About a Day in the Life of a Monitor Technician:
- The Monitor Technician observes and analyzes the cardiac rhythm of patients on telemetry and hardwire monitor under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- The Monitor Technician must demonstrate competency in cardiac arrhythmia, accurate record keeping and logging.
- The Monitor Technician is responsible and accountable for following established policies and procedures and established standards.
Job Requirements:
- High school or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course (within 30 days).
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Previous experience.
