Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Track, order, and stock supplies for the supply room and neighborhood supply rooms; maintain PAR levels, rotate stock, and check for expired items.
- Manage office supplies and ensure office equipment is operational for the clinical team.
- Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies with vendors; process invoices and update spend-down reports.
- Maintain medical records, including scanning and uploading required documentation such as H&Ps and hospital discharge summaries.
- Process DME recommendation forms and coordinate with vendors and families to ensure equipment availability at patient transitions.
- Process requests for patient medical record information as directed.
- Validate ancillary invoices each month.
- Review patient records, medications, and supplies in preparation for triple check.
- Ensure Medicare physician re-certifications are completed accurately and promptly.
- Open Medicare and payer calendars, including hospital stays and diagnoses.
- Reconcile daily census and communicate changes to all ancillary vendors.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of post-acute and/or long-term care experience preferred.
- Experience with billing and coding preferred.
- Supply management experience preferred.
- Scheduling and/or payroll experience preferred.
