What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Litigation Attorney position at Hill Wallack LLP?
Hill Wallack LLP is looking for a full time New Jersey licensed attorney with 2-7 years civil litigation experience. Attorney will work to defend lawsuits against private, commercial and public entities, employees and individuals regarding a wide variety of claims involving various negligence theories, premises liability, employment related claims, bullying, sexual assaults, insurance coverage and first and third party liability disputes and matters. Candidate must have an ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues, paralegals, clients and insurance company representatives. Candidate must be proficient in technology, legal research and other computer/web-based data sources. Work will involve research and drafting of motions, pleadings, discovery, legal analysis reports, and appeals, conducting depositions and witness interviews, appearing in state and federal court or before other legal forums including the DCR, EEOC and other administrative agencies for conferences, oral argument and hearings.
Writing sample and references are required.
Clerkship following law school is preferred.
