Job Summary
Hill's Kitchen, Park City, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service and a love for coffee. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. Your role will be essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty.
The Hill’s Kitchen Barista will oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including but not limited to specialty coffee drinks, cafe/bakery menu, retail sales, point of sale operations, merchandising, and cleanliness.
Base pay of $13.00 per hour plus tips for an expected hourly equivalent of $22-26/hr.
Responsibilities
- Personally connect with our guests
- Create the perfect drink every time
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items and be able to prepare them promptly
- Maintain the cleanliness of the cafe to the standards of Hill’s Kitchen
- Work together as a team to create a memorable guest experience
- Be respectful with all guests, associates, and vendors
- Operate the Toast point-of-sale system for order processing and payment transactions
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality
Skills
- Previous barista experience preferred, with an understanding of coffee preparation techniques
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with customers
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation in the café environment
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated
- Attention to detail & follow through
- Calm under pressure
- Punctual
- Food Handlers Permit must be obtained by the first day on the job in order to be compliant with the state of Utah.
