Hill International is seeking a Structure Inspector in San Jose, California
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of structures.
- Identify potential structural issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with the project managers, engineers, and contractors.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation.
- Monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect materials and workmanship for quality assurance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Stay current with industry developments and technological advancements.
- Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions.
- Assist in the development of inspection protocols and procedures.
- Participate in training and professional development activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural inspection.
- Highway and Rail / Transit relevant experience.
- Must be able to work in the field for extended shifts, nigh time shifts, and weekend shifts, as necessary.
- Must be local to San Jose or surrounding areas.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
