Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals, including monitoring vital signs
- Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations and treatments
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
- Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a veterinary technician
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and critical care procedures
- Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures (e.g., collect samples, draw blood, and administer vaccines)
- Ability to handle various animal species safely, exotics experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion
