The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Benefits Account Executive to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid position.

- Develop and implement benefit strategies that are both innovative and compliant, leveraging creative thinking to address client needs
- Partner with producers to lead client meetings, presentations, and onboarding of new clients
- Actively participate in strategic discussions, providing out-of-the-box solutions and consulting expertise to enhance clients’ benefit programs
- Manage benefit program implementations and oversee annual renewal processes
- Define and execute strategies to maintain ACA compliance and expand consulting services
- Develop and maintain annual planning calendars for assigned clients, ensuring deadlines are met with precision
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Account Managers and Client Care Specialists
- Encourage innovative thinking within the team to solve client challenges effectively
- Delegate tasks efficiently, ensuring proper training and onboarding of junior staff
- Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns, resolving issues with innovative and strategic approaches
- Assist clients with benefit plan design, open enrollment tools, and long-term strategy development
- Collaborate with benefit carriers to craft solutions aligned with client goals and regulatory standards
- Oversee client compliance with regulations such as ACA, DOL audits, and PCORI reporting
- Stay updated on compliance, benchmarking, reporting, and analytics to provide cutting-edge solutions
- Create and review client-focused messaging strategies and benefits-related communication content
- Represent the company at market meetings, client functions, industry seminars, and training programs
- High school diploma required; college coursework preferred
- Life and Health (L&H) license required
- 5 years of experience in a carrier or broker-related environment
- Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with excellent decision-making and analytical capabilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Effective in both independent and team-oriented work environments
- Expertise in project management and delivering strategic outcomes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel, including overnight trips
- Flexibility to conduct after-hours meetings as needed
