Budtender

Job Overview:

We are a legal dispensary seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented Budtender to join our starting team at a new location!

You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, educating customers on different cannabis products, and ensuring compliance with all current applicable laws and regulations. On-the-job training will be provided, with opportunities to visit farms, participate in specialized training programs, and more. You'll be an integral part of our team and we'll do everything we can to support you.

Our first location is in Williamsburg, and we're currently hiring for our second location in Bay Ridge.

Duties:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide accurate information about various cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods
• Help customers make informed decisions based on their preferences and needs
• Process transactions accurately using the Dutchie point-of-sale (POS) system
• Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product knowledge, and regulations
• Assist with general store maintenance and cleanliness

Qualifications:

• 1 years experience as a Budtender or similar role (_Note_: if you have no direct experience as a Budtender please tell us about your experience with cannabis in your cover letter)
• Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, terpenes, cannabinoids, and consumption methods
• Excellent communication and sales skills with the ability to effectively educate and engage customers
• Familiarity with electronic sales systems comparable to Dutchie POS
• Strong organizational skills to maintain our high volume storefront and workspace
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Proficiency in a language other than English is a plus
• Must be at least 21 years old and comply with all state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products

Job Types: Full-time

Starting Pay: $19-$20 per hour tips (pooled weekly), incentives, and rewards programs

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
