Position Summary
The Home Maker provides essential non-medical support to clients in their homes, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, caring, and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, dishes, etc.)
- Assist with grocery shopping and meal preparation
- Change bed linens and maintain a tidy home environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow individualized care plans and report any changes in client condition or surroundings
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of the home
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for each client’s dignity
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous home care, housekeeping, or caregiver experience is a plus (but not required)
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Must pass a background check and health clearance (including TB clearance)
- Reliable transportation preferred (mileage reimbursement may be available)
