Are you friendly, outgoing, and passionate about creating a warm first impression? We’re looking for a welcoming and organized Host to join our front-of-house team in El Portal, CA. As the first point of contact for our guests, your role is key in setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Position: Part-Time or Full-Time (Evenings, Weekends & Holidays Required)
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests with a friendly, upbeat attitude
- Manage the seating chart and waitlists using host tools or apps
- Answer phones, take reservations, and assist with to-go orders
- Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth guest flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area
- Assist in ensuring guest satisfaction and responding to special requests
Requirements
- Prior host or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and remain calm during busy shifts
- Must have or be willing to obtain a California Food Handler Card
