Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving and route management will help keep our supply chain moving smoothly and reliably.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across local routes.
- Home daily with possibility for overnight trips. Bonuses for some overnight stays.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic laws to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and secure freight on various truck types, including vans and flatbeds, with attention to safety protocols
- Deliver freight to customers or distribution centers, providing excellent customer service during drop-offs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and other documentation required for compliance and safety audits
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL A license
- Hands-on experience operating manual transmission trucks in various configurations.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for tractor-trailer operations
- Ability to handle freight securely on different types of trucks while maintaining safety standards
