Bartender/Server

Job Summary: Hwy 169 American Cafe is seeking a versatile and customer-focused individual to join our team. This dynamic role is perfect for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment. Along with managing the bar, you will also service our dining area and handle to-go orders, making you a key player in our front-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Service & Sales:
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and dining room.
• Serve guests in the dining area, take orders, and ensure a positive dining experience from start to finish.
• Interact with all customers in a friendly and professional manner to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Manage the entire to-go order process, from taking the order to ensuring its accuracy and timely pickup.
• Operations & Financial Duties:
• Handle all cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform register open/close procedures, including meticulous cash counting and reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean and organized front of the house, including the bar, service stations, and dining areas.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bartender and/or server in a restaurant setting.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.

Availability:

• Availability for a mix of shifts, including weekday lunches, nights, and weekends, is highly desirable for this role.

Pay: $7.25 - $9.00 per hour
