Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative -- Job Description
Position Title: Commercial Lines CSR
Reports to: Branch President, Highstreet Insurance
Compensation Range: Depends on Experience and Qualifications
A. SUMMARY
Responsible for providing support to the sales and service team in delivering professional and timely customer service to Property and Casualty clients.
B. POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Process specific tasks involved with servicing commercial lines customers, such as renewal processing, processing of monthly reports, certificate issuance.
2. Gather information for new business and renewal applications.
3. Prepare applications for submission to selected markets.
4. Process and follow up on coverage change endorsements.
5. Initiate and monitor renewal processes.
6. Document all relevant contacts and developments to customer accounts on Agency
Management System.
7. Underwrite exposures and communicate with carriers to meet insurance company guidelines.
8. Proactively communicate with customers as needed and establish follow up procedures for outstanding items.
9. Perform any other duty relevant to agency functions as needed.
C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ideal candidate must be an organized, motivated professional who is able to provide excellent customer service. Successful attainment of a Property and Casualty Insurance license will be required. Candidate must have computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, and
Excel.
