Position Overview
Highstreet Insurance & Financial Services is seeking a motivated and client-focused Commercial Account Manager to join our team in Altoona, Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service to commercial insurance clients while supporting account retention, growth initiatives, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, commercial insurance knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Account Management
- Manage day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance accounts
- Process policy endorsements, changes, and coverage updates accurately and efficiently
- Respond to client inquiries regarding coverages, billing, and claims
- Maintain complete and accurate client documentation within agency management systems
Renewals & Retention
- Conduct proactive renewal reviews with clients
- Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions
- Manage remarketing efforts in accordance with agency guidelines
- Work with carriers to secure competitive account placements and coverage solutions
Process & Compliance
- Follow agency workflows and agency service standards
- Maintain compliance with insurance regulations and agency policies
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all account activities
Growth & Business Development
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing client accounts
- Support inside sales and business development initiatives
- Assist with account rounding and strengthening overall client relationships
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous commercial insurance account management or customer service experience preferred
- Pennsylvania insurance license preferred or ability to obtain licensing
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems preferred
- Ability to analyze client needs and recommend insurance solutions
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general business technology platforms
