We are seeking a motivated, new member of our team to serve as a Customer Engagement Professional (CEP), acting as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing customers.
The CEP will deliver exceptional service while identifying opportunities to connect clients with training programs, products, and value-added solutions that meet their needs. This role combines customer support, consultative sales, and operational coordination to ensure a seamless client experience from initial inquiry through training completion. The CEP is responsible for achieving established sales and enrollment goals by proactively generating leads, converting customer inquiries into sales opportunities, and recommending solutions that align with customer needs and organizational objectives. The role manages customer communications, prepares sales and enrollment documentation, maintains accurate records within CRM and learning management systems, coordinates logistics for learning events, and supports certification and training administration. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, product knowledge, a consultative sales mindset, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to building lasting customer relationships.

Essential Functions/Duties:
- Value-Driven Selling: Connect products or add-on services directly to the customer's current needs.
- Customer Needs Assessment: Confidently turn customer inquiries into opportunities to recommend premium solutions. Assist customers with transitions between learning platforms and related systems.
- Solution-First Approach: Fix immediate support issues, building trusted relationships with customers.
- Product Expertise: Maintain deep product knowledge to recommend the exact feature that matches the customer's budget and goals.
- Customer Outreach: Conduct outreach to generated leads to introduce training programs and product offerings, qualify customer needs, answer inquiries, and support enrollment.
- Administration and Maintenance: Ensure effective operations of the sales team processes and certification processes, including learner communications and completion tracking. Track and manage training engagements and related workflows using internal project management tools.
- Customer Communication: Monitor and respond to customer inquiries across multiple communication channels, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Coordinate communication and logistics for scheduled training engagements with clients, including enrollment facilitation and information collection.
- Recordkeeping / Sales Data Tracking: Prepare quotes, contracts, and sales documentation for training services, and maintain accurate records within CRM systems. Maintain and update learning event information within organizational systems, including public and private learning offerings.
- Event Support: Provide operational support for learning events, including preparation and distribution of training materials. Support verification of learner attendance within external registries and assist with course approval and submission processes.
Education/Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of background check.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to positively represent HighScope with external partners.
- Organizational, project and time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks, and to prioritize and execute multiple assignments.
- Resourcefulness, an inclination to take the initiative, and ability to exercise good judgment and make independent decisions.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor progress, diagnose and troubleshoot challenges, and gather facts and present clear conclusions.
- Good oral communications skills, including the ability to listen to and understand the problems and needs of staff and partners, and ability to communicate solutions.
- Detailed knowledge of computer hardware, software and applications, and an interest in monitoring the ongoing developments across the education technology field.
- Shared belief in the power of high-quality early childhood education to positively impact lifelong outcomes.
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, combining in-office and remote work, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer; ability to lift up to 25 lbs., if necessary
