Why this role exists
You lead a small garden-services crew (typically 1 to 2 people) to deliver consistent, high-quality garden maintenance, communicate clearly with clients, and identify enhancement opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Lead daily on-site planning, task delegation, and safety expectations for your crew
- Deliver high-quality garden services (weeding, pruning, deadheading, planting, mulching, seasonal cleanups)
- Perform property walkthroughs, spot issues early (plant health, pests, irrigation anomalies to report), and document findings
- Communicate with clients consistently, including weekly touchpoints and quarterly site walks
- Identify enhancement opportunities and coordinate internally to get pricing and execution lined up
- Maintain tools and equipment, request supplies, and keep trucks and job sites clean and professional
- Train and coach crew members on horticultural best practices and efficient workflows
- Represent Highridge professionally, protect client property, and uphold quality standards on every visit
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or garden services (lead experience preferred)
- Strong plant knowledge (ID, pruning practices, seasonal care)
- Strong communication skills (crew, clients, managers)
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs, bend/kneel, and work outdoors in all conditions
- Must be 21 with a valid U.S. driver’s license that meets insurance and company driving standards
Nice-to-haves
- Horticulture degree or formal training
- Bilingual English/Spanish
