Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team! This part-time role (15-25 hours per week) is vital in helping our clients maintain accurate financial records and preparing individual income tax returns. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks or EasyAcct
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy across all financial statements and prepare and maintain monthly closing processes.
- Support payroll processing and ensure timely submission of payroll taxes.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain detailed records of account reconciliation activities, journal entries, and audit documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience with Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, EasyACCT, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll, sales tax, and other financial obligations
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy; strong attention to detail is critical
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communications skills

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
