Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW :
Provides non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs exercise and pharmacologic Stress Tests and ECG's. (25%)
Applies Holter Monitor Records to both in and out patients, instructing the patients on proper care of the unit and maintaining patient diaries. Scans Holter Monitor results with a computerized scanning unit, and prepares data for physician interpretation. (25%)
Provides diagnostic 12 ECG testing to in and out patient population. (25%)
Maintains organized and complete documentation of clinical data for all procedures in accordance with established guidelines, and ensures the availability of complete electronic files for physician review. (25%)
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS : Minimum
Completion of a Medical Assistant or dysrhythmia course
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
Prior experience in the job
