What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Mitigation Technician position at Highmark Companies?
Restorations by Highmark is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Mitigation Technician. Lead Mitigations Technicians are energetic and detail-oriented individuals to help us restore clients' homes and lives. Restorations by Highmark provides high-quality restoration services for water, fire/smoke damage, mold, and biohazard. We are proud to be a locally owned business, building trust in our clients and community. Lead Mitigation Technicians lead and supervise work crews in varied restoration scenarios and experiences they are exposed to daily.
Pay: $25 -$30 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise work crew assigned to work with you
- Ability to determine the scope of work
- Ability to problem solve without direction
- Have a positive attitude and can motivate coworkers
- Effectively communicate scope of work with customer
- Accurately complete job “paperwork”
- Ability to document scope of work in mitigation applications
- Ability to work with MICA, Solitaire, and Packout software
- Daily check-in with Supervisor
- Hold a high standard of work
- Perform multiple tasks relating to restoration and mitigation industry including, but not limited to the following:
- Demolition
- Board ups
- Cleaning
- Dry-Outs
- Pack-Outs
- Setting equipment
- Work with a team or independently

Qualifications:
- 2 years Mitigation experience
- IICRC certifications in Water & Fire - preferred but not necessary
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, accept over-time, and be on an on-call rotation
- Highly motivated with a team approach
- Dependable, reliable and responsible
- Applicant must be able to lift 70 pounds throughout scheduled shifts

- Valid driver’s license and good driving record and ability to pass an MVR screening.
- Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain DOT Medical Card.
- Must pass a background check.
