Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Logistics Coordinator to manage and supervise the supply chain operations by ensuring a smooth process and effective distribution of products and services and to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for organizing and providing efficient transportation and storage solutions of materials and products.
· Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
· Review and monitor expediting schedules on all customer orders and coordinate with the staff to track and ensure the materials arrive on schedule.
· Responsible for maintaining a record of all outstanding purchase orders with external vendors.
· Arrange and manage booking shipments, transportation and forwarding services for all orders to ensure material is delivered as per schedule.
· Provide on-time updates to customers and promptly resolve distribution and inventory issues.
· Responsible for stocking shelves, organizing materials, and performing inventory counts.
· Provide accurate reports to track performance and enable decision making.
· Analyze and stay up to date with transportation costs and rates for cost-effective planning.
· Adhere to all relevant rules and regulations.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in Logistics Coordinator role
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
· Experience working with Load Link and UFOS programs (an asset)
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
· Proficient computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
· Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
· Great problem-solving skills
· After hours support is required on rotation basis
