POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the accurate assistance of pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to both in-patients and out-patients. Computer entry and processing of patient drug orders; sterile and
non-sterile preparations of liquids and solid dosage forms; care and ordering of supplies and equipment; training of trainees; processing of admittance, discharge and transfer of patient drugs; performing
miscellaneous related tasks.
EDUCATION/ SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of high school education; ability to type.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
The Alabama Board of Pharmacy must license the candidate, which is contingent upon becomingcertified by the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 6 months of
employment.
