Job Summary
All janitorial duties as assigned by warehouse Management team. This includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, emptying trash on both the warehouse and rivet/sort sides. All compactor related duties, including but not limited to disposing of cardboard at the DTV line. Dispose of stretch wrap at the warehouse. Operate sweeper at warehouse. Operate floor scrubber at warehouse. Operate trash compactor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Empty waste containers and clean
- Sweep floors, bathrooms, breakrooms and offices
- Sweep finish goods rack areas
- Vacuum rugs and carpets
- Mop floors, bathrooms, breakrooms and offices
- Wipe counters and tables with disinfectants
- Clean and sanitize sinks with disinfectants
- Clean all counters, back splashes, microwaves and coffee machine
- Clean out refrigerators on a weekly basis
- Wipe down walls
- Dispose of stretch wrap and trash from DTV line
- Manage plastic recycling at warehouse
- Dispose of stretch wrap at warehouse
- Operate sweeper at warehouse
- Operate scrubber at warehouse
- Operate compactor
Required Experience
- Janitorial skills helpful
- Good communication skills
- Team environment experience
- “Self-starter” with “can-do” attitude without having to be micromanaged
Required Safety Equipment
- Steel toe boots/shoes to meet HDS requirements
- Gloves, safety glasses as required to work with cleaning supplies
Educational skills required
- High school diploma or GED preferred?
- Any training assigned by management team
Training required
- OTJ training
- Sweeper operation training
- Scrubber operation training
- Compactor training
- Any specific training identified by management
Physical Job Requirements – ALL jobs
- Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts
- Must be able to stand 10 – 12 hour daily.
- Must have physical dexterity
