Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical AP/AR Billing Specialist with at least 1*-2 years in medical billing* to support the full revenue cycle process. This role includes working directly with your immediate manager and cross-functionally with front desk and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle billing: claim preparation, submission, follow-up, and denial management for all insurance types.
- Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments; manage daily cash out and close outs.
- Conduct insurance verification and communicate coverage details to staff and patients.
- Set up and manage patient billing and payment plans.
- Work within EHR/EMR systems for charge entry, payment posting, and patient data accuracy.
- Assist in coding review, internal audits, and compliance checks.
- Support front desk by creating workflow chains and ensuring data accuracy.
- Use Google Suite for reporting, communication, and documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Medical Billing/Coding is a plus.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve billing workflows and reduce errors.
Requirements:
- 2 years of medical billing (AP/AR) experience.
- Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, denials, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and HIPAA compliance.
- Proficient in EHR/EMR systems and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and alongside your immediate manager and team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
