Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and organized Booker to join our team. The ideal candidate communicate with customers, and ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.
Core Responsibilities
- Book freight with qualified carriers at approved rates
- Match loads to the correct equipment and carrier availability
- Read Rate confirmations carefully
- Communicate load details clearly (pickup, delivery, weight, commodity, accessorial)
- Late fees must be noted on the drive
- Special instructions must be noted clearly
- Ensure all loads are confirmed before dispatch
- Track loads from pickup to delivery
- Resolve transit issues (delays, breakdowns, missed appointments)
- Maintain accurate load records in TMS or booking system
- Coordinate with dispatch, brokers, drivers, and customers
- Verify required documents (rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs)
- Support on-time, damage-free delivery performance
- Failure to respond to emails and work-related communications in a timely and professional manner during business hours is unacceptable and will result in corrective action
- All interdepartmental communication, including coordination with safety, claims, POD and accounting, must be conducted in a timely, professional and transparent manner. Accuracy and honesty in all communication are essential to maintaining operational integrity and compliance.
Pay: $1,100.00 - $1,300.00 per week
