CNC Machining/Mastercam Application Engineer
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Jacksonville, FL, for a CNC Machining/Mastercam Application Engineer.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Aid the team in advancing our machining capabilities in an R&D setting as we evolve our deployable manufacturing systems for use in the field.
- Prepare CNC machining profiles for parts being machined,
- Select tooling based on parts and material, and provide technical expertise in Mastercam applications.
- Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and optimizing machining processes, producing precise prototypes or components for destructive testing, teaching programming techniques internally to the team, and programming basic machining operations on a Haas machine in instances where the team has time constraints.
- You will collaborate with the engineering team to ensure optimal use of technologies in developing innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC Programming and 3 years of experience in Mastercam
- Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC machining operations
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T
- Machining background with the ability to set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines with various materials including aluminum, steel, plastics, etc.
- Ability to effectively teach programming and machining concepts to team members
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in an R&D setting is beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, or a related field is beneficial
This is not a traditional CNC programming position but applicants with traditional CNC backgrounds are welcome to apply. Also, this role is with a US DOD/Aerospace client and would require US Permanent Residency or US Citizenship.
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
