Job Title: Proposal Writer

Overview:
The Proposal Writer supports business development and project pursuit efforts by developing persuasive, visually aligned, and technically accurate proposal materials. This role collaborates with project managers, estimators, marketing, and executive teams to produce compelling responses to RFPs, RFQs, and related client submissions in the design-build industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze RFPs and RFQs to develop compliance matrices, outlines, and production schedules.
- Write, edit, and format proposals, project narratives, resumes, and other marketing materials.
- Collaborate with technical staff to translate project data into clear, client-focused content.
- Maintain proposal templates, project descriptions, and boilerplate sections for consistent quality.
- Coordinate with graphic designers to ensure proposals are visually engaging and brand-compliant.
- Manage deadlines and version control to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Support content for presentations, capability statements, and marketing collateral as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, or a related field.
- ~5 years of proposal writing experience in the design-build, construction, or A/E/C industry.
- Strong writing, editing, and organization skills with an attention to detail.
- Familiarity with design-build delivery methods, construction terminology, and government procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Adobe InDesign experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
This position is 100% onsite and office-based with occasional travel to project sites, client meetings, or community events in the Jacksonville region.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
