Job Overview
We are seeking a Per Diem IT Technician to provide essential technical support across our organization on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintaining and troubleshooting our IT infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS: Related certificate or diploma from a technical school, or associates degree in related field. Experienced with iOS devices, Windows 11 and Microsoft 365. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills. Ability to problem-solve and think creatively. Ability to work collaboratively and independently on assigned duties. Ability to prioritize assignments.
Responsibilities
- Respond to hardware and software support issues from employees and volunteers for applications, laptops, phone/voicemail, printers, mobile devices, etc.
- Respond to hardware and software support issues from service providers and Councils on Aging who are using Highland Valley software and/or devices.
- Assist agencies who have purchased Highland Valley’s Dining Center Self Service app with training and/or troubleshooting.
- Perform troubleshooting and/or research to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
- Maintain software used on devices, including but not limited to Windows OS, iOS, anti-virus and malware protection, via patches, updates and fixes.
- Install application software.
- Set up and configure computers as appropriate for the user’s position.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to use software and operate computer equipment.
- Create and/or update training materials for the computer hardware and software in use at the agency.
- Set up/remove user accounts on systems (network, email, phoneetc.).
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes.
Pay: $23.50 per hour
