Position Type: Part time (30 hours/week)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and caring Program Manager/Closing Floor Lead to help oversee the daily operations of our center. This role supports the director by ensuring that classrooms run smoothly, teachers are supported, and children experience a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. This is a fast-paced leadership role that focuses on program quality and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Oversee daily classroom schedules, transitions, and routines (lesson planning, meals/snacks, nap time, pick-up).
- Conduct walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with state standards.
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratios or provide support.
Curriculum & Program Support
- Support teachers in planning and implementing lesson plans aligned with our nature-inspired, hands-on philosophy.
- Coordinate special activities, enrichment programs, and family events.
- Ensure classrooms are stocked with supplies and materials.
Staff Support & Leadership
- Mentor, motivate and support teachers in classroom management and child development practices.
- Provide feedback and coaching through informal observations.
- Help coordinate staff breaks and schedules.
Parent & Family Communication
- Build strong relationships with families through daily interactions.
- Follow up with prospective parents
- Facilitate tours to prospective parents
- Support the Director in addressing parent questions or concerns.
- Assist with family engagement activities and communication.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure daily compliance with licensing standards.
- Complete health and safety checks for classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas.
- Maintain records for incident reports, attendance, and safety logs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED (required).
- Clean background check (required).
- At least one full year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility (required).
- Leadership or managerial experience
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (preferred).
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (strongly preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting teachers.

Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, Monday–Friday. Must be avaiable 1 PM - 6 PM
