Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants and toddlers.
- Provide attentive care that includes feeding, diapering, nap times, and health monitoring to ensure each child's well-being.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence while maintaining safety standards.
- Use positive behavior management techniques to guide children’s social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support early childhood development goals.
- Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities, developmental progress, and health information in compliance with licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
- Experience with behavior management strategies suitable for young children.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities such as feeding, diapering, and supervising active children safely.
