Job Posting – Transportation Positions (2026–2027 School Year)
Highland Community School District offers a four day school week. The district is currently seeking reliable and safety-focused individuals to join our transportation team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:
- Anticipated Regular Route Bus Driver
- Substitute Bus Drivers
- Activity Bus Drivers
These positions play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our students to and from school and school-related activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely transporting students in accordance with all state and district regulations
- Maintaining order and discipline on the bus
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and school staff
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong commitment to student safety
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass required background checks
