Tutor/Mentor Positions Pool (Grant)
Highland Community College periodically searches for part-time tutor/mentors in our TRIO Services department to provide academic support and guidance to our Upward Bound program participants. Upward Bound is a pre-college program which partners with high school students and their families to overcome class, social, academic, and cultural barriers to higher education.
Salary is $15 per hour.
Qualifications include at least two years of undergraduate coursework and 1-2 years as an academic tutor or summer camp counselor, demonstrated leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the needs of a diverse youth population.
