Job Summary: The Construction Supervisor at Higher Rising LLC is responsible for overseeing field operations across construction, excavation, site development, and property maintenance projects. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and DBE program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily construction activities including excavation, grading, leveling, and site preparation
- Oversee lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal services such as snow removal and ice control
- Manage construction crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators (including skid steer and heavy equipment)
- Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, and safety standards (OSHA and company policies)
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment usage, and job site logistics
- Maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and proper workmanship
- Enforce safety practices and maintain a clean, organized job site
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and inspectors
- Ensure compliance with DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) requirements on applicable projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, delays, or conflicts
- Maintain daily reports, logs, and documentation of project progress
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction supervision, excavation, or site work
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, and site development processes
- Experience managing crews and operating or overseeing heavy equipment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and job site compliance
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on government or DBE-certified projects
- Familiarity with municipal and state project requirements in Pennsylvania
- CDL or equipment operation certifications (a plus)
