DevOps & Release Engineering Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on DevOps & Release Engineering Manager to join a mission-driven financial institution focused on delivering scalable, secure, and reliable digital experiences. This position blends deep technical execution with leadership and strategy—owning CI/CD platforms, release processes, and DevOps standards across cloud and hybrid environments. Responsibilities
- Own DevOps & CI/CD Platforms: Design, build, and scale end-to-end CI/CD pipelines across GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Salesforce (Copado), and hybrid environments, including promotion strategies, approval gates, and automated rollback mechanisms.
- Lead Release Management & Governance: Oversee enterprise release planning, readiness, and execution while ensuring audit compliance, risk mitigation, and effective coordination across engineering, product, testing, and operations teams.
- Drive Modern Delivery Practices: Transition the organization to continuous delivery by implementing low-risk deployment strategies such as feature flags, decoupled releases, and progressive rollouts.
- Build & Lead the Team: Manage and grow a DevOps and Release Engineering function, providing technical direction, mentorship, and clear ownership across teams.
- Own Roadmap & Continuous Improvement: Define DevOps and release engineering as product capabilities—owning roadmap and backlog while leveraging key metrics (deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR) to improve delivery speed, reliability, and platform maturity.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Release Engineering, or Infrastructure/Platform Engineering
- 3–5 years of leadership or people management experience
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience managing enterprise release processes and governance
- Proven ability to lead complex production deployments
- Deep understanding of release automation, risk mitigation strategies, and cloud/hybrid environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to operate cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce DevOps experience (Copado)
- Experience in regulated environments (financial services, compliance-driven organizations)
- Background in tooling modernization or platform migrations
- Familiarity with audit, security, and governance frameworks
- Experience scaling teams toward continuous delivery models

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
