Reports To: School Director FLSA Classification: Certificated Full Time/Part Time Status: Part-time, non-exempt Regular/Temporary: Regular Salary: AES Framework (Step 1-2): $25.46 - $27.67 per hour. Salary is commensurate with experience. Application Open: 5/26/26 Application Closing: 6/31/26 Under the general supervision and guidance of the School Director, Academic Support Teachers (AST) provide individualized and small group instruction to assist and empower students to achieve academic success. Academic Support Teachers provide targeted tutoring support to students who need extra support with a content area. Academic Support Teachers help students fulfill their academic potential through guided, direct instruction. Duties might include floating between classrooms as needed in order to create and maintain a learning environment that supports students in accomplishing the learning goals of High Tech High. Academic Support Teachers have the ability to substitute for classroom teachers.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Valid California Multiple Subjects, Single Subject or Education Specialist Teaching Credential with EL Authorization (Individuals holding an out-of-state credential will be referred to the Credentialing Office for assistance)
