POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Volunteer Coach
REPORTS TO: The Head Coach
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Volunteer
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pupil's Activity Permit from The Ohio Department of Education.
- Has knowledge in the assigned sport.
JOB GOAL:
- To carry out the goals and objectives of the sport program as outlined by the Head Coach.
- To instruct athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
As a volunteer coach at Canal Winchester Schools, you will assist in coaching and mentoring student-athletes in your designated sport. Your responsibilities will include supporting practice sessions, promoting teamwork, encouraging student-athlete development, and ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants. You will collaborate with the coaching staff and school administration to enhance the athletic experience. Strong communication, a passion for sports, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment are key to success in this volunteer role.
