This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, customer experience, and team development while supporting the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, market share, and long-term business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop District Managers and other field leadership team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.
- Maintain ownership of retail operational P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and expense management.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), operational scorecards, and performance management systems to ensure achievement of company goals.
- Partner with the executive leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, process optimization, and operational efficiencies across the enterprise.
- Oversee talent development strategies, succession planning, leadership development programs, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Champion a customer-centric culture that delivers exceptional service, strong brand standards, and consistent execution across all locations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, safety standards, food service regulations, and fuel operations guidelines.
- Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandising, Facilities, and Supply Chain teams to align operational execution with corporate objectives.
- Lead the operational integration and execution of new store openings, acquisitions, remodels, and other growth initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, systems, and best practices to enhance operational performance and scalability.
- Present operational performance, strategic recommendations, and business insights to executive leadership and ownership.
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company strategy, organizational planning, and long-term business growth.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive retail operations leadership experience.
- 5 years leading multi-unit operations in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in convenience stores, fuel retail, grocery, restaurant, or other high-volume retail environments.
- Strong financial acumen with proven P&L management experience.
- Demonstrated success improving operational performance, sales, profitability, and employee engagement.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout Maryland and Delaware.
Preferred Qualifications
- Convenience store and fuel retail experience.
- Food service operations experience.
- Experience leading growth, turnaround, or acquisition initiatives.
