What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Operations Intern - Fall Semester position at High Point Rockers?
The High Point Rockers baseball team is actively seeking a Facility Operation Intern to handle all aspects of stadium entertainment as well as assist with promoting the Rockers in the Greater High Point community. The High Point Downtown Stadium Foundation is a registered 501c3 non-profit and the parent entity to the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of the stadium for each event.
- Support Facility Operations Managers with all stadium operations.
- Assist with general stadium maintenance.
- Assist with hiring and managing all gameday employees.
- Represent the Rockers at community events when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a stressful environment.
- Ability to work on projects without supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work by oneself.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in learning the inner workings of a professional sports organization.
- Basic knowledge of the game of baseball.
- Basic knowledge of the game of soccer.
- Ability to work all home games as well as external events.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Valid United States Drivers License.
- Previous experience in the sports industry a plus.
- Some level of secondary education recommended.
