Clinical Director Requirements
- Must always present as courteous and professional.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion.
- Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner.
- TB screening.
- Certification in the HPTC approved de-escalation program.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPTC`s electronic medical records.
- Ability to provide leadership and supervision within the unit/program.
- Knowledge of major clinical therapeutic models and behavioral health best practice.
- Knowledge of diagnostic criteria, assessment skills, and case management ability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Develop and implement goals and objectives for the program to meet performance specifications.
- Implement and review policies and procedure on a regular basis.
- Ensure oversight of regulatory, including BSAS performance specifications related to management of clinical staff hiring and scheduling.
- Monitoring of adequacy and appropriateness of patient care.
- Development of in-service training for staff in collaboration with training coordinators.
- Establishment of quality management program in collaboration with Director of CQI/COO and quality team.
- Ensure that clinical activities are carried out in accordance with HPAO's written plans for quality assurance, utilization review/management and staff growth and development.
- Provide supervision to program clinical staff and maintain supervisory notes.
- Provide direct services to patients, which will include but is not limited to, evaluations of patients, individual, group and/or family counseling, crisis management, and aftercare planning.
- Monitoring of program budget, payment models and productivity of clinical staff.
- Participate on assigned committees and prepare reports as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments/facilities to enhance and ensure quality care.
- Participate in budget development and monthly review process.
- Routinely review patient charts (open and closed) to ensure that the structure and substance are in accordance with licensing and accreditations standards.
- Advertising, interviewing, hiring and training of all new clinical and support staff.
- Participate in RFR processes to maintain current programming and develop new programming.
- Preparation of reports and correspondence in response to licensing and accreditation boards.
- Collaborate and participate in meetings with other community organizations to enhance communication and service delivery within the community.
- Provide ongoing clinical and daily administration of the program to ensure quality care.
- Ensures confidentiality according to 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director, Site Director, and/or COO.
- Audit of clinical records to ensure documentation meets regulatory standards and clinical quality.
- Maintain milieu group/daily schedule that meets regulatory requirements.
- Audit of clinical groups completed to ensure appropriateness of materials presented, skills monitoring of staff, and adherence to posted group schedule.
- Facilitate all meetings, case conferences and trainings as required.
- Facilitate/participate Multidisciplinary Treatment Team and Utilization Review.
- After-hours/on-call program support for patient clinical emergencies and other program urgent needs on a rotating basis with Clinical Director.
- Support interns seeking placement (based on a number of supervisees to determine capacity).
- Collaborate and participate in meetings with other community organizations to enhance communication and service delivery within the community.
- Act as the identified Human Rights Officer (HRO) for program specific concerns.
- Independently licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, including LICSW/LMHC/LMFT/LADC1
- Master's/Doctoral degree in Human Services related field such as psychology or social work.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical supervisory experience and five (5) years of behavioral health counseling experience.
