Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and reliable climate control. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and equipment inspections to prevent future failures.
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant line repairs and drainage issues.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts of HVAC units.
• Diagnose complex problems involving ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes during all installation and repair activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a solid understanding of mechanical principles.
• Strong construction knowledge related to building systems installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology, and property maintenance procedures.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
• Mechanical skills including welding, equipment repair, boiler servicing, and appliance repair are highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation needs.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R certifications is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in the field during service calls.
