Dispensary Store Manager: Cary, IL

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to oversee our cannabis dispensary in Cary, IL. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the dispensary operations including customer service, inventory management, compliance, financial performance, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue and increase profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations; including those enforced by Illinois Department of Agriculture and Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • Manage inventory levels and order new products as needed.
  • Oversee employee hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling.
  • Observe and provide feedback to team to ensure the dispensary is providing excellent customer service.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures as needed to align with annual budget.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and other industry professionals; coordination of 3rd party services providers, including security, monitoring, cash management, suppliers.
  • Coordination of transportation, including both product and cash.
  • Ensure that the dispensary is always clean and well-stocked.
  • Manage marketing and promotional activities to increase sales and brand awareness, optimizing the experience and merchandising of products.
  • Ensure customer information is accurately input into systems for compliance and tracking purposes.
  • Manage cash and ensure protocols are followed per operating procedures.
  • Audit inventory regularly to assess necessary par levels are being maintained.
  • Work closely with the ownership to set goals and implement strategies to achieve them.
  • Human Resource oversight; including but not limited to working with payroll companies, benefit providers, outside staffing support.
  • Communicates product knowledge, changes, pricing, and promotional sales to dispensary personnel at every shift meeting to ensure successful implementation and operations.
  • Attends regular meetings with dispensary personnel to communicate changes and ensure successful operations and compliance.
  • Assists in reviewing, maintaining, and updating all departmental SOPs and assuring that any changes are communicated to employees and the most recent SOP versions are available 24/7 for planned and unplanned audits by regulators and organization management.
  • Maintain mandatory logs documenting all visitors, access to various areas in the building as well as video surveillance records, and waste logs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Ability to conduct market research and interpret financial data related to the performance of the business, identifying market trends, implementing efficiencies, and optimizing overall operation.
  • 2 years of experience in a management role within the cannabis industry.
  • Ability to research and navigate rules and regulations governing adult us cannabis facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial planning, including the administration of accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and banking.
  • Strong organizational and project management as well as time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and point of sale systems.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
