What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Installer/Technician position at High Efficiency Heating and Cooling?
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service & Install Technician who can wear multiple hats. You are the ultimate triple threat: a sharp troubleshooter, a confident communicator who can present options (sales), and a skilled installer who can seamlessly change out a system when the time comes.
Key Responsibilities
- Run Service Calls: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential [and/or light commercial] HVAC systems with high accuracy.
- Drive Sales & Solutions: Assess aging or inefficient systems, educate customers on their options, and confidently present solutions (including system replacements, IAQ upgrades, and maintenance plans).
- Equipment Change-Outs: Lead or assist in the removal of old equipment and the clean, code-compliant installation of new furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and ductwork.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC service and equipment replacement.
- Sales Mindset: Comfortable talking about money and presenting premium solutions without being "pushy." We believe in ethical, needs-based selling.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, refrigerant charging, airflow, and gas piping.
- The Basics: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, ability to pass a background check/drug screen, and the physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces).
