What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Specialist position at High Country Search Group?
The Company:
This is an opportunity to join a premier, privately held commercial real estate investment firm with more than $3 billion in assets under management and a 30-year track record investing across retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and hospitality properties throughout the United States. The platform combines institutional resources with the agility of an entrepreneurial organization, offering exposure to high-profile retail assets, meaningful responsibility, and long-term career growth.
The Role:
This position serves as the operational backbone of the Retail Leasing team, supporting leasing professionals throughout the entire leasing lifecycle. Rather than negotiating transactions, you'll coordinate the process behind the deals by managing lease documentation, organizing presentations, tracking leasing activity, supporting tenant and broker communications, and ensuring transactions move efficiently from initial discussions through execution. The role also provides direct exposure to institutional retail leasing strategy, tenant merchandising, and asset repositioning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate lease administration, including Letters of Intent (LOIs), lease agreements, amendments, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain leasing dashboards, deal trackers, reporting tools, and internal databases while tracking key milestones throughout the leasing process.
- Prepare leasing presentations, site plans, marketing materials, and leasing packages for prospective tenants and brokers.
- Support communication and coordination with tenants, brokers, internal property teams, and third-party stakeholders.
- Review leases and reciprocal easement agreements to summarize key provisions, exclusive use clauses, and operating restrictions.
- Coordinate team meetings, calendars, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and industry conferences, including ICSC.
- Assist with research projects, merchandising plans, commission tracking, and additional operational initiatives across a national retail portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience supporting retail leasing, commercial real estate, leasing operations, or real estate administration, ideally with an owner/operator, REIT, or brokerage.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, legal documentation, reporting, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Culture: A proactive, self-motivated professional who enjoys supporting a collaborative team, takes ownership of projects, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
