Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment used in road construction and related operations.
Duties:
- Repair and maintain diesel heavy equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Work on equipment both in the shop and in the field
- Help keep our construction equipment running safely and efficiently
Experience:
- Hands-on experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, skid steers, rollers, dump trucks, or similar equipment is a plus
- Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
- CDL is a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable, hardworking, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to climb on and work around heavy equipment.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and work in physically demanding positions.
- Ability to work safely around operating heavy equipment.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
