This role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, the ability to read plans, and consistent delivery of high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents
- Perform layout, measure, cut, and install materials with precision
- Maintain production pace while ensuring quality workmanship
- Follow all jobsite safety standards and company policies
- Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades
- Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact production
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
- Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites
- Plan daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals
- Read and interpret blueprints to direct layout and installation
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and specifications
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite environment
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades
- Track labor productivity and adjust crews as needed
- Identify and resolve jobsite challenges proactively
- Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice-level team members
- 4 years of commercial carpentry experience
- 2 years in a leadership or foreman role preferred
- Strong experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, and ACT
- Ability to read plans and manage layout independently
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage production schedules
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required
