Responsibilities
- Operate reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely to load and unload shipments.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders.
- Retrieve items from storage areas following order picker instructions and ensure correct stock levels during stocking activities.
- Assist with shipping & receiving tasks by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch.
- Conduct quality control checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and proper packaging standards are met.
- Support warehouse distribution efforts by efficiently loading trucks and organizing inventory for optimal space utilization.
- Maintain safety protocols during heavy lifting, mechanical operations, and materials handling to prevent accidents or damage.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picker tools.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing processes, and inventory stocking.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic warehouse maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials handling tasks efficiently.
- Prior warehouse experience with a focus on quality control, load & unload activities, and order fulfillment.
