Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment. This role ensures efficient storage, handling, order fulfillment while maintaining accuracy, safety, and cost-effectiveness within the warehouse. Manager will be responsible for all warehouse operations.
- Oversees all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and the warehouse management system.
- Accurately documents orders, shipments, and other necessary records for future referencing
- Coordinate the incoming of shipments and deliveries to Higa Food Services facility
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accuracy
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and productivity
- Train employees on operating procedures and provide corrective actions when not followed
- Hire and retain employees
- Appropriately schedule employees shifts to meet company demands
- Train employees on the proper usage of equipment such as but not limited to, forklifts, manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks and carts
- Strategically coordinate staffing to meet operational needs
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Collaborate and communicate with all departments on a regular basis this includes but not limited to the purchasing, sales, and customer service teams to align with operations
- Manage relationships with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers for incoming shipments and deliveries
- Oversee warehouse layout, organization, and space utilization
- Regularly provide reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and operational performance
- Resolve issues related to warehouse operations and order fulfillment
- Regularly meet order fulfillment deadlines to avoid delays in delivery
- Establish and coordinate the cleaning and general housekeeping of the interior and exterior of warehouse
- Efficiently utilize warehouse management system and enterprise resource programs to meet the needs of the company
- Effectively utilize electronically devices i.e. handheld scanners, computers, printers, etc
- Consistently communicate to varies departments and level of management on day-to-day issues by method of phone, email, verbal, and text
- In the absence of a warehouse associate, warehouse manager will assume responsibility and duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations and logistics management
- Strong proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience in warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management system (TMS) and enterprise resource programs (ERP)
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to [50 lbs.] regularly
- Comfortable working in varies warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.)
- Able to operate forklift, manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and carts
Work Schedule
- Full-time position
- Able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs
Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,600.00 per year
