The Quality Assurance Manager at HiFyve is responsible for ensuring that plant operations meet food safety, quality, customer, and regulatory standards in the food/beverage industry. This leadership position works closely with plant teams to uphold audit readiness, drive performance, and foster a strong quality culture.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily quality and food safety operations
- Maintain compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements (FSMA, HACCP, etc.)
- Lead lab operations, product testing, and specifications compliance
- Investigate and resolve CAPAs and customer complaints
- Conduct internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Monitor sanitation, pest control, and environmental programs
- Train employees and ensure accurate quality-related recordkeeping
- Analyze quality data and support continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate on budget and capital planning
Requirements:
- 5 years of QA or food safety experience; dairy preferred
- 1 year in a leadership or management role
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems, lab operations, and audits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead teams and drive change
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Certifications:
- PCQI
- HACCP
- SQF Practitioner
