PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

St. Louis, MO (Greater St. Louis metro) | Full-time, direct hire | Onsite

Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 per year

Shift: 1st

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

An established St. Louis metal fabrication manufacturer is adding a Project Administrator. Working under the general supervision of the Project Manager, you will partner with Project Managers to build comprehensive action plans covering estimates, resources, budgets and timeframes. You will work closely with department personnel, coordinate schedules and risk management, maintain project documentation and handle financial queries.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Participate in project design meetings and document action items
• Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and help develop solutions
• Plan and manage project schedules and new information
• Coordinate information distribution to all team members to keep workflow on track
• Manage project paperwork and databases so all materials are current, updated and properly filed and stored
• Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails
• Communicate with internal departments to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
• Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and tracking cost-saving measures

WHAT YOU NEED

• Typically a Bachelor's degree and 2 to 5 years of experience (any equivalent combination of education and experience considered)
• Familiarity with the principles and practices of project management
• Ability to read and understand component drawings and tolerance schemes
• Experience keeping projects on track and managing associated costs to stay on budget
• Strong time management and written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills, spreadsheet efficiency and comfort working with numbers

NICE TO HAVE

• General knowledge of metal fabrication or manufacturing production
• CAD experience
